Gardiner Street, Durban Railway Station and first Town Hall

Jinrickshaw, Natal late 19th early 20th c




This mode of transport, popular in Natal, is given its full name on the mount of this photo: jinrickshaw. At that stage they weren't simply tourist attractions but a useful conveyance for getting around Durban.
