I distinctly remember playing football at Fynnlands on the Bluff as a boy and gagging with the stench. I also remember my Dad taking me along the beach to the whaling station and watching a whale being winched up the concrete slipway and then flensed with long flensing knives. I doubt if whale offal would have made it intact, considering sharks etc, to be seen as bodies in that vicinity.Molehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09761273493116575841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6378093591532627400.post-25921049281908137532016-11-29T09:28:42.077+02:002016-11-29T09:28:42.077+02:00Fascinating history. It was alleged that two weeks after she went missing bodies were seen adrift in the vicinity of the Bashee River. This was disputed in favour of whale offal from the factory in your post. I of course believe they were bodies, but that is another matter. AndrewANDREW VAN RENSBURGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03632303307052209160noreply@blogger.com
